Next weekend, my beloved “Flying Trainer” RC plane will take its last-ever flight. It will be deliberately “flown to destruction” by powering it into some immovable object at great speed. Can you say high-speed crash ? Here are the preparations and changes I’m making in anticipation of that fateful, fatal, final flight (woohoo — high-score for alliteration!) Because we don’t want to be left facing a huge bill if an explosion or fire were to burn down the hangars, the go-kart club or other valuable properties — we’ve decided that, despite the many requests, the plane won’t be set on fire or filled with explosives on its final flight. However, if we fly it at full speed through that maze of angle-iron in the structure which supports the control-tower, I think the results will be spectacular to say the least. Here kitty-kitty…. (evil grin).
