9V PP3 battery connected to 5A brushed ESC with throttle lead connected to RX via Y lead. Motor wires from brushed ESC connected to 2 parallel strings of 4 x 5V red LEDs connected in series. Waiting for good weather and will see what it looks like from the ground.
